So one day I was browsing around on Noisetrade, which is a really great site to find new musicians that don't already have a huge following. I got several songs that day, but one of my favorites was Alyssa Baker's EP. All of the songs are very well written.
- I Like You...Or Something - Can you say pretty much every first crush/love ever? And quite possibly those beyond if you happen to be awkward? It's a cute little song with a happy ending and it's pretty uplifting. And catchy, too. 10/10
- Enough - A non-awkward love...like...or something...song. The strumming pattern is great, and the lyrics are well done without cheesy rhymes. (An area that unsigned artists are sometimes lacking in.) 9/10
- Timebomb - SOMEONE GO GET THIS ON THE TFIOS SOUNDTRACK. NOW. It's a beautifully written and sung ballad inspired between the relationship of Hazel and Augustus in The Fault in our Stars. It's great how she was able to harness the emotions felt by Hazel. I cried the first time I listened, and the second time too. The bridge is the killer. 10/10
- Goodbye - It's another sad-ish song, but it's written in such a catchy and uplifting way that if you were just listening to the tune, you wouldn't be able to tell at all. It's another amazing one. I honestly can't pick a favorite song on this EP. And I wish there were more. 10/10
