Prediction: Hozier. He's blown up so much so far, and a lot of the other new artists are fading out of popularity (Iggy Azalea, Meghan Trainor). Sam Smith might win too, but I'd prefer Hozier.
Prediction: Taylor Swift, of course. She was the 2014 woman of the year for Billboard, sold the most copies of an album since Britney Spears in the early 2000s, and had everyone singing along to "Shake it Off" and "Blank Space." Probably will have everyone singing along to Bad Blood when it hits the radio too. One Direction has a shot too, but with all the drama, I doubt it.
Who I Hope Wins: Taylor. She deserves it.
Prediction: One Direction. Even with Zayn leaving the group, they still have a shot, and are still trending on Twitter. A lot of people are tired of Magic!, and I doubt non-country fans care that much about Florida Georgia Line, for example (*cough* Some country fans don't even care about FGL. *cough*)
Who I Want To Win: 5 Seconds of Summer. With their first album, they've demonstrated that they have so much talent and their own sound, as well. They're also releasing so much music. Some people might hate on them for being a group girls listen to...but they're actually pretty good.
Prediction: Taylor Swift. Again. We're talking the album chart here, and she's not dropped out of the top 10 since 1989 was released.
Who I Want To Win: I actually really want Ed Sheeran to win this, but I don't think it's gonna happen.
Prediction: Ariana Grande. She's had an unprecedented (excluding Katy Perry of course, but she's not nominated for this award) run of singles on the Hot 100 chart - Problem, Break Free, Bang Bang, Love Me Harder and One Last Time. True, Taylor Swift has had 2 number ones, but Ari's reign has lasted about a year and produced more singles. Anyone find a reason she doesn't deserve this award without talking about her weight or her relationship with Big Sean. Didn't find one? I thought so.
Who I Want To Win: Ari.
Prediction: Ed Sheeran. He is ALL over the radio. For weeks at a time, you could hardly listen to various radio stations for an hour without hearing Thinking Out Loud at least twice. He clearly deserves it. (And I want him to win, too.)
Prediction: Katy Perry. She definitely deserves it — this tour has been a huge success for her. She even missed the AMAs because she was touring! (I don't like her music all that much, but she deserves this one)
Prediction: Ariana Grande. Possibly Iggy Azalea. Unfortunately, Taylor Swift is out of the running even though she could've dominated this category, since the Spotify pull.
Who I Want To Win: Ariana Grande.
